100% Linen Care Instructions

At Plus Size Linen we want you to enjoy your new purchase and by following the simple instructions below you will increase its life.

Do you know, the more you wash Linen the more it becomes softer and even more comfortable to wear?

The first big myth about caring for Linen is that it must be dry cleaned, this is simply not true.

Washing Instructions

Rule No 1 is always follow the manufacturer’s instructions on our garments.

Linen can be either machine or hand washed.

Always wash in either cold or lukewarm water under 30 degrees Celsius.

When using a washing machine, always use a gentle wash cycle and a mild laundry powder.

Another big myth is you can’t put Linen garments into a dryer, you can.

Drying Instructions

When using a clothes dryer you should set your dryer to a cool setting such as a Gentle/Delicate and remove your garment whilst it is slightly damp.

Over drying in a clothes dryer may cause your garment to stiffen because Linen is a natural fibre. After removing your garment from the dryer you should hang your garment on a clothes hanger or lay flat until dry.

Plus Size Linen simply recommends that you place your garment on a clothes hanger and let it dry naturally.

Do I need to iron my Linen clothing? Again the answer is no, is it is a personal choice.

Ironing Instructions

If you choose to iron your Linen clothes, we recommend that you iron it whilst the garment is still damp. You should use a steam iron set on a medium or Linen setting. If the garment you are ironing is a dark colour you should iron on the reverse side of the fabric, white coloured Linen can be ironed on both sides for the best results.
